When a physical visit to Maritiman isn’t possible, we offer digital lessons that combine pedagogical content with interactive elements. Through video clips, questions, assignments and storytelling, we create engaging learning experiences aligned with the Swedish national curriculum – perfect for schools across the country.

Sea Monsters (ages 6–12)

Myths, facts and the secrets of the ocean.
We explore legendary sea creatures and connect them to real animals and natural phenomena. A fun and imaginative lesson where students practise critical thinking and basic scientific reasoning.

Marine Litter (ages 10–12)

A practical environmental lesson – online.
How does litter end up in the ocean? What happens to it once it’s there? Students learn about decomposition, chemicals and how everyday choices affect the marine environment. The lesson ends with discussions and follow-up activities.

Humans and the Sea (ages 10–15)

The ocean’s role – past, present and future.
A broad digital lesson about how humans have used and influenced the sea throughout history. Students explore sustainability, ecosystems and what is needed for a more sustainable future.

Biomimicry (ages 10–15)

When nature inspires innovation.
We look at clever solutions found in nature and how scientists and engineers use them to develop new technology. An inspiring lesson that combines biology, creativity and future-oriented thinking.
