School visits

Adventure, learning and real ship environments – right in the heart of Gothenburg.

Maritiman helps you and your students explore a wide range of subjects in an exciting, experience-based way. We offer lessons on site, in your classroom, or online – always connected to the central content and learning objectives in the Swedish curriculum.

For a more relaxed visit, you can book a guided tour where the class discovers life at sea and learns more about our ships and maritime environments. We also offer adapted lessons for special needs education.

Our three learning formats

We offer three flexible ways to take part in our educational programme – tailored to your needs and circumstances:

Lessons on board Maritiman

Learning in authentic environments – aboard the destroyer Småland, the submarine Nordkaparen, and our other vessels.

Maritiman in your classroom

We come to your school when you are unable to visit us.

Digital lessons

Interactive online learning for classes across the country.

Lessons for all ages and subjects

We aim to support schools throughout the region – regardless of age group or subject area. All our lessons are led by trained educators and designed to be engaging, accessible and well aligned with the Swedish national curriculum.

Prices for school lessons

City of Gothenburg:
All our lessons – whether on site at Maritiman, digital, or delivered in your classroom – cost 300 SEK per class..

Schools in other municipalities:
A visit to Maritiman costs 300 SEK per class.
