Sabaton - The War To End All Wars

We are proud and happy to tell you that the Maritiman is included as part of the worldwide museum project History Rocks, launched by the Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton. At the center of this global charity initiative is the band's new animated film The War To End All Wars - The Movie. Developed in collaboration with Yarnhub Animation Studios, the film visualizes the World War I music from Sabaton's latest studio album, 'The War To End All Wars'. The movie is 67 minutes long and will be shown by over 50 museums around the world in the period 4-19 November 2023, to mark the time of the First World War Armistice which took place 105 years ago. The aim of the project is to encourage more people to visit their local museums and to increase their interest in history.

Sabaton was founded in Falun in 1999 and is a five-piece band known for its fact-based music about important events in history. Over the years, the band has collaborated with several individual museums to help in the work of promoting education and history. By now showing The War To End All Wars - The Movie in museums around the world instead of in theatres, Sabaton meaningfully wants to give back an even stronger experience to all of its fans.

At Maritiman, we will be showing The War To End All Wars - The Movie on board the destroyer Småland during our season finale on November 4-5. It will be limited seating in an exciting and authentic setting. We offer two sittings each day with 25 seats, so make sure to buy your ticket in time in our webshop.
