Tim's ocean lab
How does a submarine actually work? How do we save our oceans from littering and toxins? How can a massive steel ship float? And how on earth can you use water to weigh a potato?
The eleven stations in the ocean lab present a practical way to learn about the sea, life at sea and our fragile marine environment. Once you have finished, you will know so much more about odd concepts such as density and friction.
EXPERIMENT ON YOUR OWN
The ocean lab has been designed for all ages and is ideal for exploring together across the generations. The lab is open to visitors when the museum is open, and now during the ongoing pandemic, we ask you to keep your distance and pay attention to the signs that are adjacent to the lab stations. As soon as the situation allows, we will resume the guide-led experiments linked to the ocean lab - and not least Tim and Virvelina's cheeky, entertaining experiment show!
